Important Points
- This is an Apprenticeship engagement under the Apprentices Act, 1961 — NOT a regular employment or contract employment in SBI.
- Stipend is ₹15,000 per month for one year. No other allowances or benefits are provided.
- Candidates can apply for one state only and appear for the examination only once under this engagement.
- Candidates must first register on the NAPS portal (https://apprenticeshipindia.gov.in) before applying online.
- Candidates who have previously undergone or are currently pursuing apprenticeship training in any organization are NOT eligible.
- Candidates with job/training experience of one year or more after attaining educational qualification are NOT eligible.
- No reservation for Ex-Servicemen under this engagement.
- Successful apprentices who complete training and pass the Skill Evaluation Test will receive a joint National Apprenticeship Certificate from SBI-NSDC/BFSI-SSC.
- Weightage/relaxation in future recruitment of Junior Associates may be given to successful apprentices as per Bank’s policy.
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) certificate must be issued between 01.04.2026 and date of joining.
- EWS candidates must produce an Income & Asset Certificate based on gross annual income for FY 2025-26, valid for 2026-27.
- Candidates with loan/credit card defaults not regularized are NOT eligible.
- A wait list (State and category-wise) will be maintained for one year from the date of result.

Negative marking: 1/4 mark deducted per wrong answer. Exam available in English, Hindi, and 13 regional languages (except General English section).
- Test of Local Language – Proficiency in the opted local language of the applied state (reading, writing, speaking, understanding). Candidates with 10th/12th certificate showing the opted language as a studied subject are exempted.
- Medical Examination – Final engagement subject to being declared medically fit.

- Click on “Engagement of Apprentices in SBI” under Current Openings.
- Fill in the online application form carefully. Keep your Registration Number and Password safe.
- Upload scanned Photograph (20–50 KB), Signature (10–20 KB), Left Thumb Impression (20–50 KB), and Handwritten Declaration (50–100 KB) in JPG/JPEG format.
- Pay the application fee online (Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking).
- Submit the application and take a printout for your records. Do NOT send hard copy to SBI.
